The Virginia Department of Forestry and the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries said reports from various parts of the state indicate that the acorn crop is very light.

Agency Awards Grant To Combat Fatal Disease Contributing To Rapidly Declining Virginia Bat Population

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has awarded a $50,000 grant to Virginia to help the state fight a fatal bat disease that has decimated the bat population by nearly 95%.
