Tornado Hits Southern Md. Counties

The National Weather Service says a tornado hit St. Mary’s and Calvert counties in southern Maryland, knocking down trees along an 18-mile path. There were no injuries reported.

A fire official in Howard County reported high winds destroyed a building and detached garage were destroyed in the part of Woodbine that is in Howard County.
