Congress Approves Warrantless Wiretapping Program

The Senate delayed a final vote on whether or not to add oversight and privacy safeguards to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) amendments that allows federal agencies to conduct warrantless wiretapping.

Former Sen. Kennedy Aide Gets Prison Sentence

A former aide to the late Sen. Edward Kennedy has been sentenced to nearly two years in prison for stealing more than $75,000 from the Senate by giving himself unauthorized salary and bonuses.
