Crash Victim May Have Been Run Over By Emergency Vehicle

A county coroner said his office is conducting an autopsy to determine whether one of the teenage victims of the Asiana Airlines crash at San Francisco International Airport was run over and killed by an emergency vehicle.

Officials Probe Why Crashed Jet Flew Too Slow

Officials investigating a jetliner crash in San Francisco have determined that Asiana Airlines Flight 214 was traveling “significantly below” the target speed during its approach and that the crew tried to abort the landing just before it smashed onto the runway. What they don’t yet know is whether the pilot’s inexperience with this type of aircraft and at this airport played a role.

2 Dead in Trans-Pacific Flight That Crash Landed in San Francisco

After nearly 11 hours in the air, the passengers and crew aboard a jumbo jetliner traveling from Seoul to San Francisco were looking forward to a quick and uneventful landing as Asiana Airlines Flight 214 approached the airport from over San Francisco Bay. What they got instead, without a word of warning, was terror, panic and confusion.
