Woman Pleads Guilty to Reston Zoo Wallaby Drowning

A woman arrested in June on animal cruelty charges stemming from a wallaby death at the Reston Zoo is currently serving 30 days in jail, according to Virginia’s Office of the Attorney General.

Va. Zoo Director Says She Didn’t Mistreat Animal

The director of the Reston Zoo is telling investigators she humanely euthanized a sick wallaby and did not mistreat the animal.
