D.C. Mayor Bowser Orders Fire to Stop Encrypting Radios

D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser has ordered the District’s fire department to stop encrypting firefighter radios following last month’s fatal Metro smoke incident.

Union Leader: Navy Firefighters Had Faulty Radios

A union leader for a civilian Navy fire department that responded to the Washington Navy Yard shooting says faulty radios hindered emergency communications among some of the responders.
