The Washington Redskins have officially announced the release of quarterback Pat White, to make room on the roster for kicker John Potter, signed to fill-in for injured Kai Forbath against the Packers on Sunday.
Pat White making the Redskins final roster was undoubtedly the surprise of the weekend. While there’s still a good chance he’s off the team after week one, suddenly it’s not so crazy to think White could remain on the team the entire season.
As NFL teams approach final cuts, the battle for Redskins’ 3rd-string QB is all but decided, with Pat White hanging onto his dreams by a thread. But in an interview with Lavar & Dukes, White may have inadvertently suggested QB isn’t his only chance at making the final 53.
