Nationals Down 2-0 in NLDS After 18-Inning Loss

On and on and on the Giants and Nationals played Saturday, until Brandon Belt’s homer off Tanner Roark leading off the 18th lifted San Francisco to its 10th consecutive postseason victory, edging Washington 2-1 on Saturday night for a 2-0 lead in their NL Division Series.

Washington Nationals’ 2012 playoff run only the beginning for young, talented Nats

In 2012, the Washington Nationals had their first winning record since they began play in D.C. in 2005, and they played the first playoff series in Washington in 79 years. The Nationals took D.C. fans through a roller coaster of emotions in the National League Division Series. Now that D.C. fans have had a taste of playoff baseball, they can only hope that this year was just the beginning.
