Metro silver line
The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority is again pushing back its expected completion date for construction of the new Silver Line through Tysons Corner.
Two northern Virginia congressmen want to study the possibility of extending the Metro transit system to Centreville in western Fairfax County and Woodbridge in Prince William County.
Metro’s new silver line is scheduled to open later this year, and the transit agency is hosting several open houses to discuss changes in service with the new line.
Metro will present a $2.5 billion budget and spending plan for the upcoming fiscal year to its board of directors Thursday.
The construction of Metro’s silver line through the Tysons Corner area in northern Virginia will cause some closures on local roads in the coming weeks.
