College Expels Student For Role In Racial Uproar Following Obama Re-Election

One student has been expelled and three others are being punished for their roles in a racially charged uproar on a Virginia college campus the night of President Barack Obama’s re-election, the school said Thursday.

Report: Suspensions, Expulsions Raise Dropout Risk

One report’s recommendations are that Virginia require schools to develop less subjective alternatives to removing students, and provide incentives for schools that successfully reduce suspensions and expulsions.
