State Board Leaves Political Donor Out of Land Buy

A Maryland board voted Wednesday to buy 255 acres of farm land on the Eastern Shore, but scrapped the part of the plan that would have leased the land to a campaign donor to Democrats for $1 a month to process and distribute locally produced food.
