Entry to the Dupont Circle metro station from street level was restored following an approximate half-hour disruption due to escalator outage during the height of rush hour on Wednesday evening.
A luxury Dupont Circle apartment complex was evacuated today, after a suspected meth lab explosion. WNEW’s Matt DelSignore has more on the story.
Metro will officially close the south exit of it’s Dupon Circle red line station on Wednesday. It is expected to remain closed for about 9 months.
As part of a plan to replace unreliable escalators at the Dupont Circle Metro Station, the south entrance will soon be closed for construction with the 19th Street entrance to follow.
