By most accounts, Virginia state Sen. Creigh Deeds had a particularly close relationship with his son believed responsible stabbing him multiple times before taking his own life.

Va. Sen. Creigh Deeds Stabbed; Son Dies of Apparent Suicide

The son of Virginia state Sen. Creigh Deeds stabbed his father in the head and chest Tuesday before apparently killing himself with a gun, according to initial reports from police.
