A Chincoteague stud named Surfer Dude has been found dead. He apparently sired dozens of the island’s ponies.

Shutdown May Affect Famous Chincoteague Ponies

An annual roundup of wild ponies on the Eastern Shore of Virginia has been cancelled due to the government shutdown.
