The Army Ten-Miler race will bring rolling road closures this weekend to parts of Washington and Arlington, Virginia.
Metro trains will start running two hours early on Sunday to help runners traveling to the Army Ten-Miler.
More than 30,000 people, including WNEW’s own George Mesthos, participated in the 29th annual Army Ten-Miler in D.C. Sunday morning.
Metro will open at 5 a.m. Sunday instead of the usual 7 a.m. The race starts at 8 a.m. at the Pentagon.
The federal government shutdown’s latest potential victims? Those registered to run in the Army Ten-Miler, scheduled for Oct. 20, and the Marine Corps Marathon, scheduled for Oct. 27.
