Adam LaRoche hit a game-winning solo home run with two outs in the 11th inning to help the Washington Nationals beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 5-4 Monday night for their seventh straight win.

Nationals Come Back in 8th, 9th to Top Pirates 4-3

After Adam LaRoche’s two-run homer in the eighth tied the game, and Wilson Ramos’ ground-rule double in the ninth won it, Washington Nationals manager Matt Williams called his club “tenacious.”
