In a move that surprised no one, Rory McIlroy claims his first major championship winning the U.S. Open.
Rory added the lowest 54-hole score, a three-day total of 199, which bests by one stroke the mark set in 2003 by Jim Furyk of 200.
This is the third time in four majors that McIlroy’s been atop the leaderboard heading from Thursday to Friday.
