Naki Frierson joined WNEW in September 2012. A native of western Maryland, she comes back to the area after 14 years in Atlanta, Georgia.

After finishing Hampton University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Media, Naki moved to Atlanta to pursue her dream of working in radio and television. It wasn’t long before she took an on air position with Clear Channel Communications where she served as a news and traffic reporter for Atlanta’s number one radio station AM 750 & 95.5 FM WSB as well as “Channel 2 Action News”, the city’s top television station.

Naki is passionate about giving back to her community. In her spare time, she enjoys speaking to young people and emceeing events for schools and local non profit organizations.

Naki and her husband Eric have two children: Eric Jr. & Morgan.
