Jamie started her career in local news in 2005 in one of the toughest newsrooms around — WSVN Channel 7 in Miami. Still, Jamie rose through the ranks to become the lead writer of their 5 p.m. newscast.
When the chance came to study in Boston she jumped, working her way through school as a news writer at WHDH Channel 7 in Boston. She also worked as a digital production assistant for ABCNews.com.
At 23, she graduated and moved to Washington where she became producer of the Federal Drive, the flagship morning show on Federal News Radio, in the District. There she cultivated high level connections within the federal government before taking the reigns of morning drive at All-News 99.1 WNEW.
Jamie was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She began her schooling at Florida International University and graduated cum laude from Emerson College in Boston, with a BS in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Political Science.
Her favorite food is white rice & black beans.
