“Art That Moves” opens April 9 and runs through May 6 at CHAW. This is in conjunction with the “Dance Is The Answer” festival – admission is free!

National Gallery of Art

Mid-17th century painter Gabriel Metsu will be featured in an exhibition opening at the National Gallery of Art on April 10. Passes are not required for this exhibition!

American History Museum

The National Museum for Natural History has two exhibits opening this April – Eternal Life in Ancient Egypt (preview cases, April 5), and Nature’s Best 2010 Photography Awards: Windland Smith Rice International Awards (April 16). Plus, two exhibits are closing for good this April as well, catch them before they’re gone! (The Hyperbolic Crochet Coral Reef and Orchids: A View From the East both close on April 24).

National Portrait Gallery

The National Portrait Gallery has two exhibits opening this April – Capital Portraits: Treasures from Washington Private Collections, 1730-2010 (April 8), and 150th Commemoration of the Civil War: The Death of Ellsworth (April 29).
