Located in Landover, Md., FedEx Field is home to the NFL’s Washington Redskins and other special events, like concerts and some select professional soccer games. The stadium opens two hours prior to kickoff for Redskins’ games, and tailgating lots open four hours prior to kickoff. Before games, thousands of fans flood the lots surrounding FedEx Field, tossing footballs and grilling up burgers before watching the Skins.

The Redskins moved from RFK Stadium to the 90,00-seat FedEx Field when it opened in 1997. Although it’s located about 25 minutes outside the District, the largest stadium in the NFL has set attendance records for six straight years. On game days, bands play throughout the stadium two hours before kickoff.
