The Working Women’s Luncheon is designed to foster and promote the success of women. This unique event offers business owners and professionals a comfortable atmosphere to network and learn about the personal and professional experiences of other women in business, government, sciences and the arts.
From the pre-lunch “network session” to the highly respected speakers in an up-close-and-personal setting, the Working Women’s Luncheon provides advice and inspiration for women to network, entertain, learn and grow. Amy Morris, WNEW-FM Morning Anchor, will interview the guest speakers.

Kathleen Matthews – Chief Communications Officer
Matthews is the chief communications and public affairs officer for Marriott International, the leading global hotel company with 3,800 properties in more than 70 countries. She is responsible for the company’s global brand public relations, corporate communications, social responsibility, and government affairs. Matthews is a 1975 graduate of Stanford University, and was a 2004 Fellow at the Institute of Politics at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Prior to her career at Marriott, she was an award winning news anchor at the ABC-TV affiliate in Washington, D.C., for 25 years, and hosted the nationally syndicated “Working Woman” television show.

Michele Woodward – Executive Coach
Woodward is an executive coach, career strategist, author, speaker and teacher who helps executives get clear about who they are and what they want to do, and develop a workable action plan to get where they want to go. Woodward is a Master Certified Coach who has coached executives around the world.
Prior to becoming a coach Michele was President of her own consulting firm, an executive with the Wexler Group, Lead Press Advance in the Reagan White House. She is the author of I Am Not Superwoman: Further Essays on Happier Living, Lose Weight, Find Love, De-Clutter & Save Money: Essays on Happier Living and The Unstuck Process.

Sara Armour – Comedian
Sara Armour is a stand-up/improv/sketch /storytelling comedian who currently resides in the D.C. area. She has performed at the Del Close Marathon (2011), Women in Comedy Festival (2013), the North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival (2013), is a Quarter Finalist in the Laughing Skull Comedy Festival (2013), and is a regular Emcee at the DC Improv and Arlington Drafthouse. She is featured regularly on the YMTE podcast and recently won a Gold ADDY award for the comedy video “Philly E-Lane,” a PSA she wrote for the city of Philadelphia. In addition to being a comedian, Sara is Marketing Director of MRB Films and also works as a Personal Life Coach (affiliated with Accomplishment Coaching).

Kelly Collis – ‘The Tommy Show’ Co-Host on 94.7 FreshFM
Prior to joining the radio world, Kelly founded CityShopGirl in 2008 as the only subscription email publication delivering daily updates on lifestyle in the D.C. area. In 2011, she was named as top influencer on Twitter by the Washington Post. CityShopGirl has been mentioned as a site to watch by U.S. News and World Reports and named one of the top 10 blogs in the D.C. area by Mediate/Capitol File Magazine. She is a frequent TV contributor on fashion and shopping trends.
Prior to launching CityShopGirl, Kelly worked as Director of Marketing for National Jean Company, a nation wide women’s retailer. Kelly was also a partner at DBC Public Relations for five years.

Kathy Korman Frey – Founder, Hot Mommas® Project
Kathy Korman Frey is the founder of the Hot Mommas® Project: The world’s largest collection of digital mentors and role models for use by trainers, educators, and women around the globe. The project’s curriculum measurably increases confidence up to 200 percent. Frey is the instructor of the nationally award-winning Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership at the George Washington School of Business in Washington, DC.
She lives in Washington, DC with her husband, two children, and dog in a state of semi-controlled chaos, and is currently working on an adventure fiction book series for girls.

Jenn Haber – Managing Director, Qorvis Communications
Haber brings 20 years of experience in network news, documentary production, consumer and sports marketing, and experiential event production to her position at Qorvis. Haber concentrates on integrated communications campaigns including experiential and creative marketing and branding programs that blend traditional and social media relations for a wide array of clients.
She offers innovative strategic marketing and media strategies to clients like Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, Disney on Ice, and Feld Motor Sport’s Monster Jam, as well as The Smithsonian’s Sackler Gallery of Art, Fight Night benefitting Fight For Children, DC United and The Washington Kastles.

Heather Rosen – Franchise Specialist, FranNet
As a franchise specialist for FranNet, Heather conducts franchise education workshops throughout Virginia and the DC metro area. She also helps guide would-be entrepreneurs on how to find a successful franchise that is the best match with their skill set, financial and personal goals, lifestyle, and budget.
Over its 26 year history, FranNet has put hundreds of women and thousands of couples into business, and during Heather’s 3 ½ years with FranNet, she has personally helped over a dozen women launch their own business so that they can “have it all!”
