The Terrelle Pryor experiment may soon be over.
After visiting a specialist Monday, the Redskins receiver is expected to undergo arthroscopic surgery on his ankle, Mike Jones of USA TODAY reports. Once that surgery happens, Jay Gruden says Pryor will go on Injured Reserve, effectively ending his season.
Pryor, 28, signed a one-year deal with the Redskins and was anticipated to have a major role in their offense this season. But he’s struggled to catch the ball — with 20 receptions on 37 targets for 240 yards and one touchdown — and establish himself as a reliable target of quarterback Kirk Cousins.
