WASHINGTON — As far as the ranking of people and their importance to a playoff baseball series, an assistant hitting coach is pretty far down the list.
But as far as a ranking of the worst times to suspend a member of the coaching staff, you’d be hard-pressed to find a worse time than the start of the playoffs.
And that brings us to the Nationals, who, per Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post, suspended assistant hitting coach Jacque Jones with pay.
According to a report by Janes, Jones is the defendant in a suit in California in which he “had photos of Plaintiff’s naked breasts,” “promised her that the photos would be kept between them,” and that “after their relationship ended, Jones intentionally distributed the photos without Plaintiff’s consent.”
Updates will be provided as they become available.
