WASHINGTON — Vernon Davis is an ageless wonder, in case anybody had forgotten.
Seemingly every time Jordan Reed goes down with an injury, Davis is there to pick up the slack. He’s been so good, however, that Washington has started deploying the former University of Maryland star regardless of Reed’s status.
On Monday night against the Kansas City Chiefs, Davis once again proved why that is the right move.
That’s a 69-yard catch and run for the Dunbar High School alum. Not bad. One might call it a pretty nice play, really.
