WASHINGTON — Sean McVay is the head coach of the Los Angeles Rams.

When the former Redskins offensive coordinator left to take that job, it was a significant loss for Washington’s offense. Shortly after that, he hired former Redskins defensive coordinator Joe Barry to be the Rams’ linebackers coach. He also hired Wade Phillips, who was a Redskins target, to be his defensive coordinator.

Now, McVay has reportedly snagged Redskins assistant defensive backs coach Aubrey Pleasant for his own staff.

Will Sean McVay Create Redskins West in Los Angeles?

Master Tesfatsion of The Washington Post claims a deal has not yet been completed, but he confirms there is interest. Alex Marvez of Sporting News NFL later updated his original report.

As Brian McNally of 106.7 The Fan notes, the loss would be a significant one for Washington.

Mike Jones of The Washington Post alluded to the Redskins’ desire to keep Pleasant, who was reportedly helped Bashaud Breeland during a tough season.

This post will be updated if the hiring becomes official.
