Rams Hire Sean McVay, Youngest Head Coach in NFL History

WASHINGTON — The Los Angeles Rams have hired Redskins offensive coordinator Sean McVay as their next head coach, making McVay, at 31 years old on Jan. 24, the youngest coaching hire in NFL history.

McVay has coordinated the offense for the past three seasons, prior to which he served as the Redskins’ tight ends coach under former head coach Mike Shanahan from 2011 to 2013. He served as assistant tight ends coach the season before.
