WASHINGTON — Last July, Uber established an official partnership with Mothers Against Drunk Drivingg for a sober ride program that benefits both organizations.

On Thursday, Washington Redskins safety Duke Ihenacho offered the next big idea for the company:

The tweets were sent in jest, but it underlines an important issue in the NFL and society at large. When professional athletes, with all of the financial means and team resources, are caught drunk driving, the teams, leagues, fans and sports radio rails against their poor decisions.

Ihenacho, like many NFL players from teams that did not make the playoffs, is enjoying his offseason and having a good time. It is good to know that he is taking precaution to not be an offseason storyline that the Redskins will want to distance themselves from.

Unfortunately, his frequent user club idea for Uber is probably still a long way from being implemented.
