WASHINGTON — Some strange patterns have emerged since The Sports Junkies began simulcasting their show on Comcast.

One that’s becoming more and more frequent involves fans of the morning show unknowingly watching on replay calling 106.7 The Fan in the afternoon with their takes.

This was the case for Mark in College Park, who called in Tuesday to talk to former Redskins corner Shawn Springs, at five in the afternoon, a whole seven hours after the Junkies — and their guest, Shawn Springs — signed off for the day.

“Just real quick, I know we have an update coming up here with the Rooster, let’s sneak in Mark in College Park,” Chad Dukes said on his own radio show, Chad Dukes vs. The World. To make matters more confusing, Dukes had his own guest in studio, Santana Moss, who also happens to be a former Redskin.

“I just wanted to ask Shawn who the best wide receiver he every played against, especially when he was a Washington Redskin,” the caller said.

“Shawn, who?” Dukes asked.

“Shawn Springs,” Mark clarified.

“Where’s he?” Dukes asked.

“I thought Shawn Springs was on your show,” a confused Mark returned.

“What show you calling, Mark?” Dukes inquired.

“I think I called the wrong show,” Mark conceded.

Dukes, unwilling to let Mark off the hook, pressed onward, “Which show you calling?”

Mark replied (sic), “I was calling the Sport Junkie show.”

This isn’t the first time such a thing has happened, and radio gods willing, it won’t be the last.

Believe it or not, the very next caller made the same mistake as Mark. It’s probably better just to listen to both.
