Kirk Cousins and the Redskins offense hasn’t been very good in the red zone this season. Cousins has completed just 15 of his 47 pass attempts (32%) with seven touchdowns and four interceptions through the first five weeks of the year. As a team, the Redskins have scored touchdowns on just 35% of their red zone possessions.
That’s why ‘Skins fans were happy to see Cousins shake off some of his red zone issues on the teams first possession inside the 20 today against the NFC East rival Philadelphia Eagles. After a couple of punts on their first few drives, Cousins and company drove to the Eagles 16 where the quarterback lofted a perfect pass into the back corner of the end zone to Jamison Crowder.
