Ziggy Hood Atones for Lockerroom Lifesavers Theft

WASHINGTON — Part of the appeal of the NFL is the human chess match that plays out in front of the world each Sunday, Monday and Thursday. For each move, comes a counter, for each counter an audible and so on.

But sometimes that trust gets broken. And that’s where communication is needed to fix the problem.

For example, Redskins nose tackle Ziggy Hood chose to eat cornerback Josh Norman’s Lifesavers Gummies. All of them. And they were good.

But he came clean, in the middle of the team’s Week 3 matchup, confessing his crime to Norman:

On Thursday afternoon, Hood made good on his promise to buy more Lifesavers Gummies, delivering a shoebox full of the delicious candy to Norman’s locker:

In fact, Norman’s predicament attracted the attention of other Twitter accounts that have a deep appreciation for Lifesavers Gummies and other high-quality candy:

There could be a deeper message here, but probably not. Sharing is caring and at least Norman got his Lifesavers Gummies back. With that problem solved, bring on the Philadelphia Eagles!
