WASHINGTON — It’s unanimous: the center of the D.C. sports universe is at Nationals Park tonight, according to every other professional sports team that calls the nation’s capital home.

The Washington Redskins even went a step further, sending quarterback Kirk Cousins to the game to deliver the line “play ball” from atop the home dugout. That’s no small appearance on a Friday during the regular season.

Video replay confirms that he delivered the line flawlessly:

This is a good sign for harmony in the D.C. sports ranks, after a tumultuous September. As you might remember, not everyone was on the same page ahead of the Redskins-Cowboys home game (Editor’s Note: the following images may be considered graphic in nature induce irrational anger):

Nor were the Wizards too pleased when Kirk Cousins said he wanted to shape his Redskins to be boring winners, like the Spurs:

But alas, warring parties seem to have settled their differences, giving the district unity behind the Nationals’ postseason pursuit. After all, isn’t that what #OnePursuit is all about?
