WASHINGTON — Kevin Durant disappointed many fans in the D.C. area this summer when he opted to sign with the Golden State Warriors without as much as taking a meeting with his hometown Wizards.

He reconnected with some of those fans on Monday, when the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Redskins, as he was honored along with other local Olympians before the game.

As the various members of media noted, Durant was mostly cheered by the hometown crowd, but a few boos were heard raining down on the future Hall of Famer.

He connected with the fans throughout the game by enjoying(?) a front-row seat for the Redskins loss. Literally. Just look at how sad he is as Antonio Brown scores a touchdown.

Nothing says “one of us” like watching the Redskins lose on Monday Night Football, right?

Too soon?
