WASHINGTON — Each week on Grant and Danny, Grant Paulsen and Danny Rouhier will award the best Redskins players from the week before with metaphorical game balls.

They’ll also call out the worst players — the gassers.

Week 1 featured an ugly loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, and there were plenty of gassers to go around.

Rouhier issued a gasser to center Kory Lichtensteiger, who was beaten in protection several times and also was hit with two false start penalties.

Paulsen awarded a game ball to kicker Dustin Hopkins, who drilled all three of his field-goal attempts, including a 40-yarder. Rouhier awarded a game ball to receiver DeSean Jackson, who posted a team-best 102 yards on six catches.

Callers chimed in with their own input, and many agreed with Rouhier. Several callers nominated Jackson for the game ball, and numerous others criticized Lichtensteiger and the rest of the offensive line.
