Wizards Pay Homage to U.S. Military with New Uniforms

The Washington Wizards have unveiled new alternate uniforms for the 2016-17 season which include a special tie-in to the U.S. military.

The new unis (seen above) pay homage to the military with their red, white and blue color scheme, the stars and stripes, and with the dates they’ll be worn, each game serving as a tribute to a different branch of the military:

*Friday, Nov. 11 vs. Cleveland Cavaliers (7 p.m.) — National Guard

*Wednesday, Dec. 14 vs. Charlotte Hornets (7 p.m.) — Air Force

*Wednesday, Jan. 18 vs. Memphis Grizzlies (7 p.m.) — Marines

*Friday, Feb. 10 vs. Indiana Pacers (8 p.m.) — Army

*Wednesday, March 15 vs. Dallas Mavericks (7 p.m.) — Coast Guard

*Tuesday, April 4 vs. Charlotte Hornets (7 p.m.) — Navy

Furthermore, the USO will donate 100 tickets for each game to military families of the designated branch being honored that night.
