Harper Toys With Mets Fans Over Souvenir Ball (Video)

Update at 10:30 p.m.: Apparently, NFL insider Ian Rapoport isn’t a fan of Bryce Harper or the Nats:

 

WASHINGTON — There is no love lost between Washington Nationals star Bryce Harper and most fans of most other teams. That might be doubly true for any NL East rival, including the New York Mets.

Harper just wants to win and make baseball fun again. It’s pretty clear he was having fun when he caught a fly ball near the first baseline fans to end the first inning. Turning, as if to throw the ball to a fan who had likely uttered something

Turning to the stands, as if to throw the ball to a fan who had likely uttered something unforgivable about Harper only moments before, Harper faked out a horde of Mets fans, keeping the ball and trotting back to the dugout:

He isn’t the first baseball player to do this to opposing fans, but it will never not be funny. What are they going to do, boo him again?
