Vet NFL Receiver Wants a Josh Norman Matchup Cam

by Brian Tinsman

WASHINGTON — While the NFL tries to improve the in-stadium experience for fans, former wide receiver Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson proposes a matchup camera, and his star would be Washington Redskins cornerback Josh Norman.

He shared what could be a multi-million dollar video package for fans, along with plans to possibly attend the Redskins Week 1 game, on Twitter on Friday:

“AB84” is Pittsburgh Steelers receiver Antonio Brown, who is coming off a career year in which he compiled 1,834 yards and 10 touchdowns. He is expected to draw a matchup with Norman for most of the evening, who is coming off an All-Pro, breakout season of his own.

Johnson continued:

It’s a concept that could bring even more appreciation to players like Norman, who spend most of their game action off-screen after the snap. In fact, the better that a cornerback plays, the less screen time he gets, considering that quarterbacks won’t even throw in his direction after a while.

For his part, Norman retweeted the original tweet, so perhaps he at least appreciates the sentiment.
