Bears Sign Former Redskin Darrel Young (Not Jordan Reed)

WASHINGTON — Darrel Young, the fullback who played for the Redskins the past six seasons, has signed with the Chicago Bears.

At least, that’s what the team tweeted out Thursday morning. There’s just one, tiny problem with that.

Whoops! That’s Redskins tight end Jordan Reed, not Young.

The team quickly deleted the original tweet and replaced it with a picture of Young.

In the team’s defense, Young wore No. 36 in Washington, which is very similar visually to Reed’s No. 86.

Don’t panic, Redskins fans, the man who caught 182 passes for 1,916 yards and 14 touchdowns over the past three seasons is still wearing burgundy and gold. The fan favorite fullback, however, will start a new career in Chicago.
