WASHINGTON — Redskins linebacker Junior Galette has suffered another devastating injury, his second torn Achilles’ tendon in consecutive years, 106.7 The Fan has learned.
Galette all but confirmed the news himself on Twitter.
He seemed to foreshadow some unfortunate news Sunday evening.
By Monday afternoon, the picture began to come into focus.
This is yet another crippling blow to Galette’s career. After being released by the Saints last spring, Galette signed a one-year deal with the Redskins, a chance at reproving his value in the NFL, but his comeback was shortened when he suffered a torn left Achilles in training camp last fall.
Galette, this time around, has torn his other Achilles’ tendon, and is expected to miss the entire 2016 season.
