WASHINGTON — A woman believed to be the girlfriend of Dallas Cowboys rookie Ezekiel Elliott posted photos to Instagram Friday of bruises on her body, alleging they are the result of domestic abuse by Elliott, according to TMZ.
The fourth overall draft pick out of Ohio State, Elliott has denied the allegations, according to TMZ, which cites an agent as saying, “I can assure you [the allegations] are not true.”
The female accuser filed a police report with the Columbus, Ohio Police Department, TMZ reports, in which Elliott is identified as a suspect. Elliott was not arrested due to witness testimony — from four witnesses — informing police they did not see any assault occur at the time of the alleged incident, TMZ says. The accuser was referred to the local prosecutor’s office in case she would like to press charges.
TMZ notes the woman claimed to be Elliott’s former live-in girlfriend, though Elliott denied that as well.

Buckeyes fan blog ElevenWarriors.com obtained a copy of the police report, which contains the police narrative of the incident:
“Victim 1 stated she was assaulted by her former live-in boyfriend, Suspect 1, in the rear parking lot of the above location on the listed date and time while sitting in the driver’s seat of her parked vehicle. Witness 1, who was sitting in the passenger seat of that vehicle, stated she did not observe Suspect 1 assault Victim 1. Witness 2, Witness 3 and Witness 4 stated they were all in the parking lot and observed the entire interaction between Victim 1 and Suspect 1 and did not observe an assault. Suspect 1 denied assaulting Victim 1. Suspect 1 stated that he has never lived with Victim 1. Victim 1 stated that she had pain in her right wrist and a red mark, but declined medical treatment. Due to conflicting statements between Victim 1 and the suspect and witnesses, along with the inability at the time of the report to prove recent co-habitation, Victim 1 was referred to the Prosecutor’s Office.”
The Dallas Cowboys believe the allegations are suspect, according to the Star-Telegram, that Elliott had been trying to end the relationship, and, according to Elliott, the bruises were a result of an unrelated bar fight the woman had been in.
