Pokemon Go Servers Down in Possible Hack, World Freaks Out

WASHINGTON — It was only a matter of time.

The Pokemon Go servers have been down most of Saturday morning, and there is speculation it could be due to an attack by a hacking group called PoodleCorp.

Regardless of whether it was a hack or simply the servers being down due to traffic — the app was reportedly being released in more than two dozen countries today — people are predictably freaking out.

Some creative folks came up with ways to kill the time.

But most people did not.

It’s a beautiful Saturday in the District. It’s still worth being outside even if there aren’t any Pokemon to catch.

And when the servers do come back, maybe you can already be outside and ready?
