People who watched the annual PBS live broadcast of the Fourth of July fireworks last night may have noticed some strange discrepancies.
TV viewers saw clips of fireworks exploding in a clear sky despite the clouds, low fog and misting rain that put a damper on the display at the Lincoln Memorial.
After some took to Twitter to angrily point out signs that the broadcast was a fake, “A Capitol Fourth” tweeted an apology and said: “We showed a combination of the best fireworks from this year and previous years. It was the patriotic thing to do.”
