Sonny Jurgensen Chomps Cigar Next to Billy Kilmer at Nats Game

WASHINGTON — Who says time can’t heal all wounds?

Redskins greats Sonny Jurgensen and Billy Kilmer were spotted taking in Wednesday’s Nationals-Mets game from behind home plate.

Jurgensen was chomping on a fat, unlit cigar, because he’s Sonny Jurgensen and can do what he wants.

As Nationals fan William F. Yurasko (who famously coined Ryan Zimmerman’s ‘Mr. Walk-Off’ nickname) points out, Jurgensen has long supported D.C. baseball, as observed in this screengrab of him sporting a ‘Curly W’ Senators cap in the early 1970s.

This final point bears repeating: Sonny Jurgensen can do whatever he pleases.
