SAN FRANCISCO — “I’ve always wanted to sing the National Anthem at a major sporting event since I was a little girl,” Lady Gaga told the NFL this week. “This is one of the highest honors of my career.

“I get a chance to sing for all the athletes who have been working so hard their whole life for this moment.”

The pop music goddess was the lady in red on Sunday night, blowing the national television audience away with her rousing rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

Watch below in its entirety:

Her anthem time totaled 2:20, much longer than the average of the last 10 Super Bowl anthem singers, who collectively averaged 1:57.

According to Oddsshark.com, Alicia Keys’ 2:35 at Super Bowl XLVII was the longest rendition in the last 10 years, with Billy Joel’s 1:30 at Super Bowl XLI coming in at the shortest.
