Suspect Arrested in Fatal Southeast D.C. Shooting

WASHINGTON — Police say they have arrested a suspect in connection with a homicide in southeast Washington.

The Metropolitan Police Department says officers arrested 23-year-old Eric McDuffie on Monday in connection with a homicide that took place on July 24. Police say that’s when 23-year-old Antonio McCallister was fatally shot in the 2700 block of Langston Place in southeast.

McDuffie is charged first degree murder while armed.

An attempt to reach McDuffie or his family by telephone for comment was unsuccessful as a number associated with him was disconnected. It was not clear if he has an attorney.
