HAMPTON, Va. — The Air Force’s F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team has its first female crew member.

Senior Airman Kyara Johnson has joined the staff of the elite team.

Johnson is responsible for the music and video camera that’s in use during the aerial team’s shows. Before joining the team, Johnson was a weapons loader for the 94th Aircraft Maintenance Unit. She joined the Air Force in 2013.

Johnson says she enjoys interacting with the public at air shows and answers questions about the F-22 and the Air Force. The demonstration team is based out of Langley Air Force Base.
