With Golf’s Second Major rapidly approaching, the DraftKings Millionaire Maker is now upon us! The biggest fantasy golf contest of all time has a $2,500,000 pool, with $1,000,000 going to the winner! With those huge cash prizes up for grabs, this is a great week to put together my Perfect Lineup and join in on the excitement on DraftKings. For those unaware of the DraftKings rules, participants are allotted $50,000 to select six golfers, with each golfer carrying a unique price tag that fits their worth. Think of it like being a general manager of a professional sports team.

Chambers Bay, the host course for the tournament, is set up very long (over 7,700 yards) with wide fairway and cross bunkers around 300 yards. The bombers who can carry these bunkers will gain significant extra yardage over those who have to lay up in front of the sand traps. I’ll be keeping that in mind as I select my Perfect Lineup. With that being said, here are my six for the DraftKings Million Maker.

Chad Dukes’ Team:

Dustin Johnson – $11,300

With it being such a long course, I like the biggest hitter on tour, Dustin Johnson, to take full advantage of his length and be playing short irons into the greens while a lot of the field will still be 200+ yards out. This advantage will give Dustin a great chance to find himself at the top of the leaderboard come Sunday.

Phil Mickelson – $10,200

Phil Mickelson will be highly motivated chasing after the lone major that he has never had a victory. After his second-place finish at The Masters this year, Phil has the scrambling ability to navigate a tough course. He’ll be looking to do one better and add the one major championship that has been missing from his resume.

Billy Horschel – $8,000

Billy Horschel is a hot and cold player and recently he has been playing great. He’s also coming in at a fair price. Any time you can get a player at $8,000 that has a legit shot to win the tourney, you have to be happy.

Brooks Koepka – $7,800

Ranked in the top 10 in tour driving, Koepka continues to build my lineup with heavy hitters. The former FSU Seminole also ranks inside the top 30 in putting which should help him as he tries to navigate these tough rolling greens.

Tony Finau – $6,400

As a long shot, I love tour rookie Tony Finau who currently ranks second in driving distance and has finished in the top 10 in each of his last two events. This is, however, his first ever major. But as long as the stage does not get the best of him, he has a chance at providing great value.

Andy Sullivan – $6,200

Andy Sullivan has done well on the European Tour, and played well at Memorial in his last tour appearance. Very cheaply priced, he’s in good position to make the cut and give himself a chance to score some points over the weekend.

Lineup Total Salary – $49,900

(I have $100 left over, which I normally try to avoid, but I like this lineup too much to change.)

Hurry, the deadline to enter a fantasy golf contest on DraftKings for Golf’s Second Major is the morning of Thursday, June 18. Be sure to tune in to the tournament to see how these picks hold up.
