LANHAM, Md. (WNEW) — The Jayson Werth garden gnome, the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man and Snoopy will be at Reagan National Airport baggage claim through Nov. 22.

All these structures and several more that will make their home at the airport for the next few days are made of almost entirely of canned goods.

They are part of “CANstruction,” an international design competition that invites teams of designers to create structures using food cans, which are then donated to the needy when the creations come down.

This year is the American Institute of Architects Northern Virginia’s 11th of hosting the local CANstruction competition. All the cans will be donated to the Arlington Food Assistance Center just in time for Thanksgiving.
