LANHAM, Md. (WNEW) — Expect delays in Northwest, D.C. as the Howard University homecoming parade makes its way through the District.

The parade is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. and end around 12:30 p.m. Saturday on the streets near the university.

The staging area is in front of the Johnson Administration building, at 2400 Sixth Street, NW.

The route:

North on Sixth Street to Fairmont Street, west to Georgia Avenue NW, south to Florida Avenue NW, east to Fifth Street NW, north to T Street NW, east to Third Street NW, north to Elm Street NW, east to Second Street NW, north to Bryant Street NW, west to Fourth Street NW, north to the Valley (between College Street NW and Howard Place NW).

These roads will be closed during the parade.
