Two Charged with Killing Roommate, Stuffing Body in Bags
LAUREL, Md. (WNEW/AP) — Prince George’s County Police have charged two roommates of a man whose body was found in two bags in Laurel with his killing.
The dismembered body of 28-year-old Jacinto Perez was found Sunday morning. Police said Thursday that 32-year-old Santos Leonel Mejia-Yanes has been arrested and charged with first- and second-degree murder in Perez’s death. He is being held without bond after admitting his involvement in the killing.
Officers also obtained a warrant for another of Perez’s roommates, 34-year-old Bayron Cruz-Vargar, charging him with first-degree murder.
Authorities say Perez was killed after the three men got into an argument.
